Linda Gossett

How’d I get here? Lot’s of good food, love from my family, clean living.

My schooling, a BFA in advertising from NTSU, gave me the structured basics of design. Ceramics came later through a part time job as a slip-casting assistant to a small, county-home style decorative ceramics business. Not a career path but a good introduction to small business and electric kilns. I subsequently found my way to a Dallas Community College ceramic department and fell in love with clay. Moving quickly to low fire work which could be illustrated upon fulfilled my obsession with scribbling.

There have been numerous wholesale coffee mugs, designer dog bowls, and many corporate commissions over the years. (I’m proud to say that I just sent a plate to the first Chili’s restaurant in Moscow.) What I find most fulfilling is making figurative pieces that have personality and humor and come from a place of playfulness that I hope to never lose.
