Linda Gossett

“After many years of making busy pots in busy Dallas, I relocated to west Texas. I now live and work at the Chicken Farm Art Center in San Angelo. The space is quieter and much more open. The west Texas landscape is having a substantial impact on my work.  I am creating forms that are less tight and surfaces that are softer while portraying the scratchy, pointy, craggy, stingy, bitey, dry and shrivel-y, dusty, HOT, rusty aspects of my environment. There’s no place like home.”

Linda Gossett is originally from El Paso and received a BFA from North Texas State University. She has supported herself in clay for eighteen years producing corporate commissions, wholesale and retail work.
